Do you want to write features and articles about cinema? TAKE ONE is always looking for new volunteer writers. Our readership is continually expanding, and we are looking for new, original and articulate writers. Enthusiastic people with a sound knowledge of film and a fresh approach to subject matter, whether you’re writing about a particular genre, director, film, or about the industry in general.

We are the official review publication for the Cambridge Film Festival, but we also work with other festivals all year round in the UK and further afield, offering features, interviews and reviews. Press passes will usually be supplied for screenings of new releases at Picturehouse cinemas (and can always be supplied at the Arts Picturehouse in Cambridge) and at special events or festivals (in the past we have covered BFI London, Raindance, Cambridge, San Sebastian, Edinburgh, Brighton, Watersprite and many others).

As we try to produce a broad range of articles we look for reviewers, feature writers, people interested in interviewing directors and other special guests, as well as anyone who thinks they have multimedia skills that they want to showcase on TAKE ONE.

If you are interested in joining the TAKE ONE team, have a look around to get a feel, and send a sample piece of writing or any questions to, or simply fill out the form below to contact the editors.
